Housekeeping Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled Housekeeping Inspector to join our team at Hilton Garden Inn/Home2 Suites Columbia Downtown. As a Housekeeping Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and quality in our guest rooms and public areas.

• Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet our high standards of cleanliness and quality.
• Communicate with Housekeeping staff to address any issues or concerns.
• Inspect guest rooms for maintenance repairs and follow up with guests to ensure their needs are met.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
• Verify room status on the A.M. report and report any discrepancies.
• Coordinate breaks for assigned staff and prepare and distribute assignment sheets.
• Assign designated guest room keys to assigned staff and maintain accurate records.
• Inspect supply levels of floor closets and assign personnel to rectify any deficiencies.
• Check Room Attendant's carts for proper supplies, neatness, cleanliness, and mechanical problems.
• Inspect rooms cleaned by assigned Room Attendants and direct any deficiencies to be corrected.
• Conduct training of staff as assigned and complete all paperwork and closing duties before leaving.

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) or work equivalent.
• Computer skills required, familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Room Attendant.
• Previous experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor/Inspector preferred.
• Good understanding of the English language and good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 25 pounds and push/pull carts and other equipment up to 125 pounds.
• Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8-hours in length and work a varied schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
