Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Nurse Residency Program at Ascension. As a new graduate RN, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Monitor and record patient condition, communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Coordinate patient care with other disciplines to ensure well-coordinated care.
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs.
  • Admit patients to the NIC holding unit, performing assessments and completing required documentation.
  • Educate patients and family members regarding scheduled procedures and events.
  • Provide care to patients post-procedure, implementing physician orders and preparing patients for discharge or transfer.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition.
  • Diploma from an accredited school of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
