Role Summary

The Community Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in executing resident activities within our community, working closely under the guidance of the Director of Resident Engagement.

Core Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with the Director of Resident Engagement to complete the Personal Well-Being Profile for all new residents within their first week, identifying their interests in activities and orienting them to our programs.
2. Adhere to the established activity schedule with minimal alterations, organizing entertainment within budget constraints to enhance resident enjoyment. Actively promote all activities to boost participation and manage spending on supplies and entertainment.
3. Participate in quarterly events that serve both resident enjoyment and marketing purposes, coordinating with the Director of Lifestyle and Leisure for planning, promotion, setup, and cleanup.
4. Schedule monthly resident outings, including sightseeing trips and medical visits, ensuring transportation is arranged for all activities.
5. Encourage teamwork among colleagues, demonstrate initiative in problem-solving, and positively influence co-workers, residents, and visitors.
6. Undertake additional duties as assigned or necessary.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • An Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Social Services, Business, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in assisted living is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.
