Public Works Concrete Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Public Works Concrete Technician to join our team. As a critical member of our Public Works department, you will be responsible for performing semi-skilled and skilled maintenance work related to the construction, maintenance, and repair of streets and drainage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pours, spreads, and levels concrete
  • Sets forms, ties steel, wrecks form, backfills, lays sod, uses various finishing tools
  • Operates a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of City water, wastewater, streets, and City's drainage system

Requirements:

  • Graduation from High School or GED
  • Three (3) years of general maintenance experience relating to construction, maintenance, and repair of streets and drainage
  • At least one year of experience in a skilled labor field such as asphalt paving, concrete forming, set up, and finishing
