Responsibilities of the Automotive Technician:


Military Veterans with experience in maintenance, technical roles, or mechanics will execute assigned tasks as detailed in repair orders with precision and efficiency, adhering to dealership and manufacturer standards.

Diagnosing issues and performing repairs as authorized by service advisors.

Collaborating with the Parts Department to ensure parts availability.

Saving and tagging parts if under warranty or upon request from Service Consultants (for customers).

Inspecting vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is necessary.

Informing Service Advisors of any additional work required or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised timeframe.

Documenting work performed as instructed by Service Advisors.

Conducting road tests on vehicles to ensure repair quality and maintaining vehicle cleanliness.


Military Veterans with a background in maintenance, technical roles, or mechanics are expected to stay updated on factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training sessions.

Maintaining a tidy service area and being accountable for all tools utilized.


Understanding and adhering to federal, state, and local regulations, including safety protocols, hazardous waste disposal, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, and other necessary policies and procedures.

Automotive technicians are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, while consistently prioritizing safety.

Technicians will work collaboratively with others or independently as needed.

Dealership uniforms are mandatory.

Qualifications for the Automotive Technician:
Military Veterans with experience in maintenance, technical roles, or mechanics must fulfill the following criteria:


Formal military training in a technical field such as mechanical, power generation, aviation maintenance, electrical, electronics, hydraulic systems, or other related technical specialties; proof of technical training and job designation is required.

OR

Completion of an Automotive Technology certificate or degree program from an accredited vocational institution or college.
