Job Description and Duties

As a Psychiatric Technician with California Correctional Health Care Services, you will provide basic level of general nursing and behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients in a correctional health care setting. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely healthcare to patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide basic level of general nursing and behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients
  • Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and collaborate with the healthcare team
  • Ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely healthcare to patients
  • Support the care team for daily healthcare operations
  • Communicate effectively with patients and other members of the healthcare team
Requirements:
  • Possession of a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE
  • Ability to work in a correctional health care setting
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and other members of the healthcare team
Working Conditions:

Travel may be required.
