Job Summary:

Applied BioCode, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Molecular Biologist to join our team in the development and validation of PCR-based multiplex assays for FDA submission and clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop PCR-based assays for molecular diagnostics, including primer design, probe-based hybridization, and detection.
  • Conduct molecular biology experiments, including real-time PCR, nucleic acid extraction, and Sanger sequencing.
  • Analyze assay results, perform follow-up experiments, and maintain a laboratory notebook according to GDP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement IVD assay development and Design Control processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in molecular biology and diagnostics.

Requirements:

  • PhD in biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, or related field, with 2+ years of experience, or MS with 5+ years of experience, or BS with 7+ years of experience.
  • Strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, and/or microbiology techniques.
  • Hands-on experience in PCR-based assays and primer design.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work safely with hazardous chemicals and infectious agents.

Working Conditions:

Works in a laboratory environment, requires lifting up to 20 lbs, and may require sitting or standing for long periods of time.
