We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Hospice of the Midwest, a part of BrightSpring Health Services. As a Hospice Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing personal support and care to patients and their families in their homes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, as needed
- Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the Case Manager
- Assist with light housekeeping and laundry tasks
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families
- Collaborate with the hospice team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Meet the training requirements of the State
- Completed a minimum of seventy-five hours of classroom and supervised practical training
- Minimum of six months experience in providing personal care
- At least eighteen years of age
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
- Understands hospice philosophy and is comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill
- Satisfactory references from previous employers
- Ability to work with little direct supervision
- Secure with issues of death and dying
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification
- Demonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygiene
- Successfully completes a probationary period
