Position Overview
In this role, you will collaborate closely with leadership to design, enhance, and maintain our rollup technology offerings. You will be responsible for developing custom precompiles and deploying whitelisted contracts that introduce innovative functionalities, while also expanding our support for emerging Layer 2 solutions. We value individuals who can rapidly grasp complex technical concepts, create proof-of-concept solutions, and autonomously identify key challenges to address.
Key Qualifications
- Proven expertise in distributed systems, cryptography, and networking protocols.
- Experience with various rollup technologies, understanding their components and trade-offs.
- Familiarity with EVM node software development.
- In-depth knowledge of the Ethereum Virtual Machine and its integration with external tools.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including but not limited to Golang, Rust, and Solidity.
- Contribute to the strategic direction and roadmap of Optimism's product offerings alongside the team.

Our Technology Stack
Our infrastructure leverages Kubernetes, Postgres, and Cloud Tasks on GCP, while our applications utilize a blend of React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Rust, and Postgres. While familiarity with these technologies is advantageous, we prioritize engineers with strong technical acumen and the capacity to quickly learn new tools and frameworks.
