About the Role

CBIZ is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Associate to join our team. As a key member of our financial services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional tax and audit services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete all aspects of accounting, tax, and audit engagements for clients, including status updates to engagement managers and adherence to quality control standards.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the client's business, including analysis and planning of client engagements.
  • Adhere to engagement budget constraints and complete assigned tasks within the requested timeframe, explaining variances when necessary.
  • Achieve charge hour goals and review associates' accounting, tax, or auditing work, providing constructive review points.
  • May supervise associates on engagements, train and mentor staff, and be involved in the client billing process.
  • Identify and develop knowledge in selected specialty practices, leveraging industry knowledge and business acumen to blend cross-service opportunities into client engagements.
  • Participate in practice development activities, such as membership in qualified organizations capable of referring potential engagements.
  • Execute administrative duties as assigned and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in public accounting or a related field.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • CPA candidates preferred.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments, and prioritize each assignment as necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
  • Proficient use of applicable technology.
  • Ability to travel based on client and business needs.
