At Sunrise Senior Living, our Dietary Aid plays a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents. As a member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for handling all food in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards, and complying with all federal, state, and local regulatory procedures regarding food service.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Prepare dining and tray service according to menus and follow therapeutic diet orders.
  • Have knowledge of menu items and provide general descriptions to residents.
  • Responsible for meals and beverages, serving requested items according to established dietary and skilled nursing guidelines.
  • Respond to the dining needs of residents while maintaining Sunrise hospitality and service standards.
  • Prepare and deliver snacks and nourishments as directed.
  • Obtain food and supplies for meal service as directed.
  • Maintain accurate records of residents' dietary needs.
  • Follow all local, state, and federal policies regarding food handling.
  • Maintain standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED accepted and may be required per state regulations.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Previous experience preferred in skilled nursing dining and/or long-term care, assisted living, or hospital dining.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions to meet the dietary needs of residents.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Competent in organizational, time management skills.
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
