Pet Welfare Manager

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Animal Care Manager to join our team at the SPCA of Wake County. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $50,000 - $52,000 annually, plus excellent benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in animal care or a related field and a high school diploma or equivalent. They will be responsible for leading the animal care team, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and communicating effectively with staff, volunteers, and customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Continuing the growth and development of best practices in animal care through innovation and process improvement
- Identifying and addressing opportunities to improve animal welfare and flow through our adoption program
- Ensuring that staff members are implementing fear-free handling techniques at all times
