Position Summary:We are currently seeking a Systems Quality Assurance Engineer to be part of our dynamic engineering team located in Vista, CA. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge security detection products.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement a variety of tests and frameworks (integration, performance, regression, etc.) to validate that system software meets and exceeds product specifications.
- Conduct software testing within a systems environment as part of the product qualification process to fulfill customer requirements for deployment.
- Create, execute, and document comprehensive test plans and results.
- Collaborate with development team members to identify and resolve defects early in the development cycle.
- Prepare documentation packages and adhere to configuration management protocols for the official release of software to manufacturing.
- Lead discussions on software/system quality and report project status and issues to management and stakeholders as necessary.
- Assist Field Service Engineering in troubleshooting installation issues to support customer problem resolution.
- Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with all stakeholders involved in the product line.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 2 years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Extensive experience in troubleshooting software and hardware within integrated systems.
- Proficient in working with Windows-based operating systems and applications.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with developing test cases to validate defined system requirements.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
- Some physical lifting may be required (typically less than 20 pounds).
- Experience with networking, distributed software environments, or cloud-based systems.
- Knowledge of the product development lifecycle and configuration management tools.
- Background in programming and/or electronics.
- Basic skills in LINUX.
- Experience in technical writing.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
