Clinical Care Professional

As a Registered Nurse at Cayuga Medical Center, you will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive and compassionate care to the Tompkins County community. You will be able to practice at your full scope of practice, engage in program development and implementation, and contribute to improving patient outcomes in a shared governance environment.
Job Requirements and Responsibilities
- You will assess patients and families with complex needs, recognizing normal parameters, deviations, and abnormalities in physical, emotional, developmental, and behavioral status. You will develop care plans and prioritize nursing care to meet patient and family needs.
- You will demonstrate competence and resourcefulness in implementing technical skills required for patient care. You will remain current on organizational policies, procedures, and standards, and act as a resource to peers.
- You will evaluate the effectiveness of care giving, show follow-through on delivery, and demonstrate critical thinking skills by making appropriate clinical decisions and executing compliant clinical documentation.
Education and Certifications
- A minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing is required. Active New York Nursing license is mandatory, with out-of-state nurses still eligible to apply.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are necessary, with new hires having the opportunity to obtain these during the introductory period.
Work Environment and Benefits
- The job requires working onsite at 101 Harris Dates Dr, Ithaca, NY 14850, with less than 25% travel involved.
- The estimated salary range for this position is $38.63 to $48.18 per hour.
