Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Registration Representative to join our team at Powers Health. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service and ensuring a smooth registration process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors, ascertaining their needs and directing them accordingly.
  • Register patients in accordance with established standards and policies, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is documented in the computer and chart.
  • Perform all front office duties, including check-in functions, verifying patient information, answering telephones, scheduling appointments, and collecting self-pay monies, co-pays, and patient balances.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and prioritizing responsibilities to meet deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of medical terminology, health insurance/managed care plans, and EPIC electronic medical record system.
  • Collaborate with physicians, hospital staff, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and patient care.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting preferred.
  • Previous experience with EPIC electronic medical record system preferred.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based desktop applications and PC keyboard data entry skills required.
  • Excellent attitude, interpersonal skills, and communication abilities necessary to interact with patients, physicians, and other hospital staff.
