Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic and individualized care to patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, coordinate, and deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the ICU, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
  • Foster strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, and applicable laws and regulations to promote an optimal patient experience.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in critical care nursing.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • RN-Registered Nurse licensure for the state where care is provided.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
  • ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days.
  • NIHSS-National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification within 90 days.
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience in critical care nursing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in critical care nursing, including knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and maintain a high level of productivity in a dynamic setting.
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
