About the Role:

A RN Unit Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical activities of healthcare personnel on their assigned unit, ensuring a safe environment for residents. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to interpret patient information and make critical decisions. The ideal candidate will have a completed nursing program training, New York State Registered Professional Nurse licensure, and experience in long-term care facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of healthcare personnel, including LPNs and CNAs.
  • Interpret patient information and make critical decisions about necessary actions.
  • Administer medication, wound care, and other personalized interventions.

Requirements:
  • Completed Nursing Program training.
  • New York State Registered Professional Nurse licensure.
  • Experience in long-term care facilities preferred.
  • Able to interpret patient information and make critical decisions.
  • Ability to supervise and work well with other healthcare personnel, residents, and their family members.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Respect for residents' privacy and rights.
  • Able to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness, and kindness.
  • Physical endurance for frequent activity.
