POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Specialty Care Physician Assistant, you will deliver comprehensive health services and execute specific medical tasks under the supervision of specialty physicians.
Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough medical evaluations, performing physical examinations, establishing diagnoses through various tests, and developing effective treatment strategies.
You will also provide ongoing follow-up and health maintenance care for patients in alignment with protocols sanctioned by a supervising physician.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Completion of an accredited educational program for physician assistants or surgical assistants is essential.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants is preferred. Candidates must hold a valid Physician Assistant license in the State of Texas. It is also necessary to maintain current AHA BLS certification or higher, in accordance with institutional bylaws. A valid DEA number must be acquired within a specified timeframe after hiring.
