Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate RN Student Nurse Extern PRN Telemetry to join our team at TriCities Hospital. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the nursing staff in providing patient care and support under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living.
  • Work closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan, performing direct and indirect patient care as needed.
  • Obtain and record initial and ongoing patient information throughout the cycle of care.
  • Assist with patient mobility, including turning, positioning, and ambulating patients as needed.
  • Translate complex medical terminology to ensure patients and families understand their medical condition, treatment plan, medications, and possible side effects.
  • Provide education to patients and families on healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes that may be needed upon discharge.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of nursing.
  • Ability to create and implement a personal career development plan, to be reviewed regularly by supervisor and/or preceptor.
  • One year of completed nursing school is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
