Role Summary:
We are seeking an Instrument Engineer to deliver technical expertise to our operational, maintenance, and project teams. This role is pivotal in enhancing instrument reliability and addressing recurring instrument-related challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee engineering tasks, providing technical guidance and establishing project objectives.
- Lead and manage engineering assignments, ensuring adherence to established engineering standards.
- Collaborate with the instrument maintenance team and operational staff to achieve reliability goals.
- Support Project Engineering in the specification of instrumentation for new projects.
- Review design packages to ensure compliance with reliability and maintenance standards.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all instrumentation, including equipment files and calibration records.
- Focus on enhancing the reliability of process control valves.
- Develop strategies for performance monitoring and addressing issues.
- Assist maintenance teams in formulating repair and upgrade plans for significant turnarounds.
- Interpret instrument drawings, data sheets, and P&IDs to ensure accurate documentation.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong teamwork abilities, with a capacity to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for delivering impactful technical presentations.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- A commitment to safety and environmental standards, with a proactive approach to reporting incidents.
Education:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required. A minimum of two years of industrial experience with process instrumentation and project design is preferred.
