We are seeking a highly motivated Schneider Fellow to join our Climate & Energy Team in San Francisco. As a Fellow, you will work closely with our team to advance California's power and industrial sector decarbonization goals.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team, developing technical resources, shaping public comments, researching electric sector or industrial sector decarbonization pathways, and more. You will have the opportunity to work on one to two long-term projects over the course of your fellowship, with opportunities to assist with shorter-term assignments complementary to your in-depth work product.

Responsibilities:
  • Developing comments for CPUC proceedings on electricity system planning
  • Tracking and analyzing cement/concrete decarbonization pathways to help meet the goals of California's law requiring all cement used in California to be net-zero by 2045
  • Developing public communications materials like blogs or maps
  • Research related to electrification of industrial facilities in California, including analysis on load profiles and electricity rates, as well as barriers and opportunities in different industrial subsectors

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
