Vacancy Details

We are seeking a full-time Vocational Specialist to join our Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS) program in Huntington. The successful candidate will provide recovery-based services to adults with serious mental health conditions. Key responsibilities include assisting clients with employment and educational goals, both on-site and off-site. The specialist will facilitate individual and group sessions to maximize client potential and address their needs.

Responsibilities
  1. Deliver vocational, educational, and recovery-oriented services to clients with mental health diagnoses.
  2. Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including required entries in NYESS and Ticket to Work systems.
  3. Utilize Job Zone and Career Zone electronic platforms to support clients' work-related objectives.
  4. Manage a caseload of clients, providing on-site and off-site services as needed.
  5. Implement evidenced-based practices like IPS-Individual Placement and Support.
  6. Foster positive relationships with employers and community resources.
  7. Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams and participate in meetings.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or Certified Rehabilitation Counselor certification is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with the mental health population is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) are essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
  • A valid and clean NYS Driver's License is required.
Estimated Salary:

$60000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
