Librarian IV

The County of Los Angeles, CA is seeking a highly skilled Librarian IV to manage daily operations of one or more Group I level community libraries. The ideal candidate will have a Master of Library Science degree and one year of experience at the level of Librarian IV in charge of a Group II level community library or coordinating specialized library programs within a region.

• Manage daily operations of one or more Group I level community libraries
• Plan and deliver client-centered library programs and services
• Ensure personnel and customer compliance of all established library policies and procedures
• Serve as a liaison with local officials, groups, and agencies
• Coordinate the activities of volunteer groups
• Monitor the condition of the facility and report problems to the appropriate department
• Act in the absence of the Assistant Library Administrator

• Master of Library Science degree from an accredited college or university
• One year of experience at the level of Librarian IV in charge of a Group II level community library or coordinating specialized library programs within a region
• Valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions
