The Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a vital role in providing resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents in our long-term care facility. As a member of the nursing team, you will be responsible for delivering age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of our residents, as outlined in their care plans.
Responsibilities- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support.
- Provide assistance with meal preparation and dining, creating a positive experience for our residents.
- Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs, as needed.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position.
