Key Responsibilities:
- Assume overall accountability for executing all service obligations outlined in the contract, dedicating time exclusively to the specified scope of work with assistance from the Site Manager.
- Oversee administrative functions encompassing Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Services, safety protocols, training initiatives, inventory oversight, quality assurance, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and contract management.
- Provide daily guidance and leadership to employee teams to ensure operational excellence, including personnel scheduling, work order management, safety compliance, productivity strategies, material availability, and resolution of workforce issues.
- Engage daily with team members to offer support and on-the-job training.
- Aim to enhance management, employee, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop processes and documentation to facilitate operational activities.
- Execute duties in a safe, efficient, and timely manner while providing effective team leadership to achieve service excellence.
- Participate in scheduled and/or on-demand meetings, required training sessions, tours, and inspections.
- Identify potential issues by monitoring and assessing necessary systems and equipment, formulating solutions for corrective maintenance.
- Review and authorize expenditures for parts, supplies, materials, tools, equipment, and subcontracted work requirements with support from the Site Manager.
- Adhere to the company’s safety program and training requirements.
- Demonstrate the ability to work productively and collaboratively in a diverse and multicultural environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Associate Degree or Technical College Certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience is preferred.
- HVAC experience is preferred.
- Experience in a supervisory role is required.
- Strong organizational, participative management, team-building, customer service, and verbal & written communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency in operating the CMMS database.
- Competence in computer skills (Word, Excel, and CMMS Database).
- A valid Driver's License is required.
- Familiarity with airport operations is advantageous.
- Ability to clearly direct, lead work tasks, and delegate assignments to peers.
- Professional communication skills for interaction with customers and colleagues.
- Capability to be badged for access to secure areas of an airport.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Demands:
While fulfilling the responsibilities of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers for handling or feeling, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and communicate verbally. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and work in outdoor weather conditions on an airport ramp near aircraft and within confined baggage conveyor systems. Specific vision abilities required for this role include good close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Good hand/eye coordination is necessary.
Work Environment:
The work environment resembles that of an airport operation with vehicular traffic. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious locations, outdoor weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, cold temperatures, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is typically loud, and employees will operate on an airport ramp in proximity to aircraft and heavy machinery.
