Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in substation design, transmission and distribution systems, and high voltage engineering. You will work closely with our project team to create detailed design documents, specifications, and drawings for substation projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop substation projects from concept to completion
  • Develop detailed design documents, specifications, and drawings for substation projects
  • Work with project team to create one and three-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, communications diagrams, wiring diagrams, substation layout plans, section and detail drawings
  • Apply engineering application software to complete engineering tasks such as ground grid design, equipment sizing, relay coordination, and electrical studies
  • Communicate and coordinate project activities with project lead, customer representatives, and other stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • At least 3 years of experience performing engineering related duties
  • Licensed Professional Engineer preferred
  • Knowledge of engineering standards including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE and ANSI
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English language
