Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist - Schools

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Therapeutic Services, A Member of the Point Quest Group. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality speech and language services to students in schools across NE Texas.

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist will work collaboratively with school districts, teachers, and other professionals to identify and address communication disorders in students. You will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, conducting assessments, and providing therapy services to students. Additionally, you will participate in in-service education and team conferences to ensure that you are up-to-date on the latest best practices in speech and language therapy.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and provide individual, group, and classroom-based therapeutic services to students consistent with speech and language goals as written in the Individual Education Plans (IEP).
  • Evaluate effectiveness and outcomes of treatment/response to therapy interventions (RTI) to identify student progress and/or determine readiness for termination of therapy services.
  • Conduct independent evaluations to assess students with speech or language disorders and conditions to determine eligibility for services.
  • Develop clinical management strategies or procedures and diagnostic statements by interpreting observations or data.
  • Coach and involve caregivers in the evaluation & therapeutic process.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other interdisciplinary team members to plan and implement classroom activities to improve communication skills of students across educational settings.
  • Provide professional development in assigned schools to help school personnel identify and understand communication deficits in students.
  • Participate in in-service education and team conferences.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents about the student's therapy goals and educational needs.
  • Participate in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process to assist in interpretation of assessment data, appropriate placement, and goal setting for students with communication disorders or conditions according to district procedures.
Requirements:
  • Current, active TX state license as a Speech Language Pathologist, or be eligible for licensure.
  • DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance
  • Computer-literate; knowledge of standard company software applications, internet
  • Effective interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient language and communication skills, including business writing and professional telephone manners.
