Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Endoscopy Nurse Specialist to join our team at Memorial Healthcare System. As a key member of our endoscopy team, you will provide direct patient care and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction and outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the endoscopy unit, including pre-procedure preparation, procedure assistance, and post-procedure recovery.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, including anesthesia, nursing, and medical staff.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the State of Florida.
- Minimum one year of experience in pediatric endoscopy or a related field.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
This position requires the ability to work in a clinical setting, with frequent exposure to biohazardous materials and potential for physical assault. The successful candidate will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow infection control protocols.
Shift:
This is a full-time position, working primarily during daytime hours. The successful candidate will be required to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
