The Weekend Nurse Supervisor is a key member of our healthcare team at Bethel Pointe Health and Rehabilitation. This role is responsible for supervising staff on designated shifts to ensure the highest level of care and comfort for our residents.
Responsibilities- Supervise staff on designated shifts to ensure proper care and health needs of residents are met.
- Provide direction and evaluation of staff on designated shifts.
- Perform nursing investigations as assigned by the Director of Nursing (DON).
- Round on residents to ensure their needs are met and to identify any potential issues.
- Monitor the meal process for residents during designated shifts.
- Provide oversight to pharmacy protocols and orders during designated shifts.
- Assist with admissions process, including performing admission assessments.
- Fulfill charge nurse responsibilities as needed.
- Participate in audits, including documentation, care plan audits, and medication pass audits.
- Ensure safe staffing levels are maintained through staff absenteeism.
- Be prepared to handle emergencies as they arise.
- Attend scheduled in-services, staff meetings, workshops, and seminars as required.
- Provide emotional support to residents and families, and encourage family involvement in resident care.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid LPN or RN license in good standing.
- Thorough understanding of safe and effective nursing practices within the state of Indiana.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills.
- Passion for caring for people.
- Personal integrity and ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and other personnel.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to Corporate Compliance and HIPAA guidelines.
