Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Field Engineer, you will:
  • Ensure compliance with ABB's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, as well as the ABB Way and Safety Manual.
  • Maintain and enhance your technical expertise in accordance with recognized industry standards.
  • Oversee hands-on project execution, including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of Power Delivery equipment.
  • Manage warranty administration effectively, ensuring knowledge of applicable product line warranties.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as preparing technical reports, ordering materials, and managing job status reports.
  • Exercise prudent judgment in managing costs and protecting company investments.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of Installation and Field Services Engineering Standards and Procedures.
  • Strive for the highest level of customer satisfaction in all interactions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a High School Diploma with a minimum of 10 years of relevant field experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in field engineering.
  • Technical proficiency in testing power distribution systems, including Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Breakers, Switchgear, Relays, and Transformers.
  • Experience in the repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers from OEMs.
  • Strong ability to cultivate customer relationships.
  • Proven capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and PowerDb software.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time and maintain a valid passport and driver's license.
  • Must possess work authorization to be employed by ABB in the US.
