Histology Technician

MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc is partnering with a respected health system to recruit a meticulous Histology Technician. This full-time, permanent role is crucial for providing precise and timely histological services, supporting patient diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining to prepare high-quality histologic slides for microscopic examination.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and adherence to safety protocols.
- Assist with special staining procedures, including immunohistochemistry, to support detailed tissue analysis.
- Accurately label, document, and track specimens to maintain the integrity of patient information and test results.
- Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate reporting of findings.
- Stay current with the latest histology techniques, safety regulations, and ASCP certification requirements.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology or a related field.
- ASCP certification as a Histology Technician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL).
- Preferred: 1+ year of experience in a histology lab setting.
