CLASSIFICATION OVERVIEW:

The individuals in the cashier role are responsible for collecting and managing payments for access to aquatic facilities, as well as for program registrations and merchandise sales. They will also interpret and communicate the policies and regulations of the District to the public.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Handle financial transactions and maintain accurate records.
2. Perform a variety of clerical duties associated with cashiering functions.
3. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the assigned work area.
4. Participate in aquatic training sessions, which may include practical in-water components.
5. Administer first aid and CPR when necessary.
6. Respond to emergencies as they arise, including activating the District's Emergency Action plan and contacting emergency services when appropriate.

POSITION CHARACTERISTICS:

Employees in the cashier role are typically part-time and seasonal, with no opportunity for advancement to permanent positions within the District. Work hours will fluctuate based on the operational needs of the District.
