Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all payroll procedures, including preparing and distributing employee payments, calculating taxes, and reconciling quarterly tax filings.
  • Manage the semi-monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reconcile quarterly tax filings, ensuring all exceptions and errors are cleared.
  • Oversee new hires and terminations, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Manage payroll system and become proficient with Paylocity.
  • Lead/assist with projects as needed.
  • Manage and maintain state and local tax information in payroll system.
  • Oversee governmental reporting obligations.
  • Oversee monthly accounting reconciliations and ensure GL is accurate and delivered timely.
  • Oversee accurate, timely processing of new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations in compliance with multi-state regulations.
  • Manage processing and review of YTD information, W-2 forms, W-2c's, and amended tax returns.
  • Keep abreast of legislative updates that affect payroll/tax regulatory compliance and provide training to staff.
  • Supervise/manage payroll team, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new staff and providing performance evaluations.
  • Serve as a backup to the Director, Payroll.
