About the Position:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Interim HealthCare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform respiratory care procedures, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and mechanical ventilation.
- Conduct pulmonary function testing and interpret results to diagnose respiratory disorders.
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosing and monitoring.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments, test results, and medication administration.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and process efficiency.
Requirements:
- A minimum of one (1) year of work experience as a respiratory care practitioner within the last five (5) years.
- Current National Board of Respiratory Care certification (CRT) or registration (RRT).
- State license or certification as required by law or regulation and the contracting employer.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training, additional certifications may be required dependent upon facility requirements.
