The position also entails evaluating, planning, and implementing innovative strategies to enhance central services, aligning with the financial and service objectives of the organization. Leadership is provided to subordinate managers and staff, along with assistance in the development and execution of strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Contributes to the formulation and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at improving quality, enhancing member service, and optimizing cost efficiency.
- Leads and guides Pharmacy Managers and staff within assigned centralized pharmacy locations, which may include hybrid remote work arrangements.
- Ensures the pharmacy services at various locations meet business expansion goals, performance metrics, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Accountable for the quality, service, and financial outcomes of pharmacy operations, implementing systems and processes to boost quality and service delivery.
- Strategically identifies service initiatives to support future growth in pharmacy services.
- Recognizes and implements opportunities to utilize resources effectively to benefit the Region and Service Areas.
- Oversees personnel management activities, including recruitment, training, evaluation, and corrective actions for both exempt and hourly staff.
- Fosters the development of team members as part of workforce and succession planning strategies.
- Acts as the primary leadership contact for pharmacy operations, cultivating strong collaborative relationships with various stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.
- Plans, implements, and evaluates quality assurance standards and processes, ensuring quality is integral to all operational aspects.
- Directs the operation and maintenance of departmental equipment, ensuring preventive maintenance and related engineering activities are conducted.
- Maintains regular communication with subordinate managers to ensure alignment and operational efficiency.
- Develops a professional team to plan and achieve departmental objectives.
- Provides leadership in the creation and management of capital and operating budgets for pharmacy locations.
- Integrates operational plans with the broader organizational business strategy.
- Ensures consistency and continuity in the application of best practices across locations.
- Collaborates with healthcare providers and department heads to implement strategic programs effectively.
- Develops and offers guidance on organizational policies and procedures.
- Performs additional duties as necessary.
