Job Title:

The Groundperson is a vital member of our team, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our line clearance services. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate chainsaws and other equipment to cut and remove brush and trees
  • Feed brush into woodchippers and maintain equipment
  • Conduct site assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals and objectives
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be willing to join the local union and pay union dues
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a related field is a plus
Working Conditions:

The Groundperson will work in a variety of environments, including forests, fields, and urban areas. The role requires the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme weather conditions. Personal protective equipment will be provided and must be worn at all times.
