This role involves performing a wide range of housekeeping and support functions, including cleaning patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, as well as transporting trash and linen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation in patient care areas, including patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
  • Housekeeping Services: Provide housekeeping services to patients, including removing clutter, emptying trash, and refreshing bathrooms.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and sanitize equipment as assigned, and stage equipment for pickup.
  • Corridor Maintenance: Monitor corridors and keep them free from clutter.
  • Patient Safety: Participate in patient safety rounding, monitor patients for signs of distress, and alert nursing personnel when intervention or clinical monitoring is required.
  • Chemical Management: Understand proper dilution rates of all chemicals used and report any malfunctions to the dilution systems.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate, perform preventative maintenance, cleanliness, and repair of any equipment used by the department.
