Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - Spravato Clinic

Heritage Behavioral Health Center is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide coordination, support, and monitoring for clients receiving care in our new outpatient Spravato Clinic.

Job Summary:

The LPN will provide intranasal esketamine (Spravato) to patients for self-administration, observe patients during required monitoring periods, and report changes in their symptoms and behavior. The LPN will also offer compassionate care and emotional support to patients and their families, while following strict safety and ethical guidelines to ensure patient comfort and safety during the administration process.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide intranasal esketamine (Spravato) to patients for self-administration
  • Observe patients during required monitoring periods and report changes in their symptoms and behavior
  • Offer compassionate care and emotional support to patients and their families
  • Follow strict safety and ethical guidelines to ensure patient comfort and safety during the administration process
  • Educate patients and their families about Spravato treatment
  • Stay with patients until all patients have been discharged from treatment
  • Complete all documentation and tracking in a timely manner
  • Work closely with Psychiatrists and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Perform other duties as assigned, required, or specifically negotiated with supervisor
Requirements:
  • Active and unencumbered State of Illinois Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure
  • Minimum of three years of nursing experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Compassionate and empathetic demeanor with a commitment to patient-centered care
  • A valid driver's license, reliable means of transportation, and proof of current automobile insurance
