Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Perioperative Supervisor to join our team at Fairview Health Services. As a key member of our perioperative services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our perioperative department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and mentor a team of perioperative staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
    • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve staff engagement, productivity, and job satisfaction.
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee the planning and coordination of perioperative services, ensuring efficient use of resources and optimal patient flow.
    • Monitor and analyze operational metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Patient Care and Safety
    • Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, adhering to established standards and protocols.
    • Identify and mitigate potential safety risks, implementing measures to prevent adverse events.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with nursing and provider leadership to develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
    • Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and families, ensuring clear understanding of perioperative services and protocols.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related field.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in perioperative services, with a focus on leadership and supervision.
  • Certifications
    • Current Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Leadership Experience
    • Experience in leadership roles within perioperative or other clinical environments.
  • Education
    • Master of Science in Nursing or related field.
