Job Overview
Key Responsibilities:

PRIMARY ROLE:

Design and define cutting-edge electrical, mechanical, and automated systems. Enhance manufacturing support and maintenance initiatives through comprehensive training and technical assistance. Formulate process specifications, machine parameters, and strategies for minimizing waste and maximizing operational efficiency. Oversee capital projects from the initial planning stages through procurement, installation, testing, and transition to operational teams. Evaluate industry-leading facilities and implement top-tier processes, equipment, and workflows.

CORE DUTIES:
Develop control systems for machinery, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.

Select capital machinery for production processes.

Optimize existing machinery to boost operational uptime, enhance quality, and increase productivity.

Provide engineering support for production equipment and processes, including guidance for maintenance teams.

Create programs aimed at cost reduction to meet overall plant objectives.

Advise on enhancements to preventative maintenance strategies.

Collaborate with suppliers and internal engineering teams for ongoing improvement initiatives.

Authorize and validate modifications to machine tool programs.

Educate staff on new technologies and manufacturing methodologies.

Adhere to and uphold Quality Management System and Environmental Management System standards.

Participate in team initiatives and promote team activities.

Monitor and document cost-saving measures.

PFMEAs:
Familiarize with the application of PFMEAs within the organization; develop, maintain, and review PFMEAs as necessary.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.

The position necessitates technical expertise in machine operations, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems.

Technical knowledge in mechanical design is essential.

Strong skills in capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning are required. Excellent interpersonal skills are crucial.

Mentor and develop maintenance staff.

Provide technical assistance to other facilities.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to independently manage assigned project tasks.

Preferred experience in data-driven analysis and problem-solving techniques.
