The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and facilities at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc., USA. This includes completing Work Orders and PMs, logging equipment usage, and following SOPs to assist operators with equipment setup and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete Work Orders and PMs in a timely and accurate manner
  • Log equipment usage and maintenance activities in the CMMS
  • Assist operators with equipment setup and maintenance
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, including toolboxes and cabinets
  • Identify and request parts needed for equipment maintenance
  • Improve PMs by adding requirements and removing unnecessary steps

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Associate's degree or vocational certificate in a related field preferred
  • Two years' experience in a maintenance position, preferably in a pharma or biotech manufacturing site

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to operate a computer proficiently
  • Ability to communicate via email
  • Ability to stay up to date with training
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
  • Ability to be gown certified
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic control systems and PLC-based systems
  • Familiarity with test equipment and building utility equipment
  • Working knowledge of hand and power tools

Additional Requirements:

  • Familiarity with electrical drawings, system drawings, and panel layout sheets
  • Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams
  • Recent familiarity with aseptic manufacturing equipment, including vial filling, lyophilizers, and prefilled syringes
  • Understanding of purified water, water for injection, and clean steam generation and distribution
