Position Overview

As a vital member of Thread Bank, you will serve as the primary liaison between the bank and its clientele, ensuring a seamless experience in service delivery and inquiries.

  • Act as the main point of contact for customers, facilitating service requests and directing inquiries to the appropriate departments.
  • Process deposits and payments across various account types, confirming the validity of checks and issuing receipts while adhering to bank protocols.
  • Handle check cashing and withdrawal requests in line with established bank policies, escalating any suspicious transactions to a supervisor.
  • Manage stop payment requests efficiently.
  • Proactively promote bank services, informing clients about new offerings that may align with their needs.
  • Adhere to all security measures and protocols, reporting any discrepancies or unusual activities to a supervisor.
  • Provide accurate account information and balance details to customers.
  • Maintain an organized cash drawer, ensuring daily reconciliation of funds.
  • Assist in processing night and mail deposits as needed.
  • Order checks and necessary supplies in a timely manner.
  • Fulfill record-keeping responsibilities in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, CIP, and OFAC regulations.
  • Recognize and report any suspicious activities to a supervisor.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Reporting Structure
This position reports to the Head Teller and/or Branch Manager.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, with frequent twisting and kneeling.
  • Extended periods of sitting, up to 95% of the time.
  • Occasional bending, climbing, and reaching above and below shoulder level.
  • Possible exposure to dust and high noise levels.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Competence in using PC software and office equipment.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills.
  • Must meet bondability requirements.
