Boiler Operator

The Housing Authority of the City of Camden seeks a skilled Boiler Operator - Seasonal to maintain stationary engines, boilers, and other mechanical equipment for the wellbeing of our residents.

Under the direct supervision of the Boiler Room Mechanic, the successful candidate will operate or maintain stationary engines, boilers, or other mechanical equipment to provide utilities for buildings or industrial processes.

• Operate equipment such as steam engines, generators, motors, turbines, and steam boilers
• Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working condition
• Monitor and control equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Collaborate with the Boiler Room Mechanic to ensure smooth operation of the boiler room

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• 5 years of work experience in boiler room operation preferred
• Possession of a current boiler operator's license of the appropriate grade and type issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor
• Current valid New Jersey Motor Vehicle Driver's License
