At LewisGale Medical Center, we strive to deliver the highest quality care to our patients. We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Care Specialist to join our team in the Special Procedures unit. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will provide direct care to patients undergoing treatments and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect specimens for testing and assist physicians during procedures.
  • Maintain and stock the Special Procedures area to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Be a resource for Surgical Scheduling relative to bookings and provide relevant and complete documentation on patient-related activity.
  • Assume responsibility for educating patients and families about procedures, medications, and follow-up home care.
  • Stay current with available training and literature to ensure quality patient care in Special Procedures.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of employment start date.
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
