Position Overview
The Infrastructure Systems Specialist plays a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our campus infrastructure, ensuring the success of our operations. Reporting to the Technical Operations Manager, this position is part of a dedicated team focused on stabilizing, securing, and modernizing our existing systems. Collaboration with project management, staff, and leadership is essential to achieve our objectives and deliver outstanding support.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting systems issues to determine effective resolutions that enhance system performance.
- Assisting in the planning, procurement, design, development, configuration, and implementation of systems and resources for monitoring and incident management.
- Overseeing system performance to identify the need for updates, upgrades, enhancements, and preventive maintenance, while recommending options for system improvements.
- Providing technical support as an escalation point for complex issues, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing downtime.
- Creating and maintaining systems documentation and ensuring compliance with established policies.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with [5] years of relevant experience and certifications.
- Preferred certifications in Infrastructure and Systems Management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of hypervisors, server hardware, storage solutions, and operating systems.
- Experience with cloud technologies, including Office 365, Exchange Online, Azure, and AWS.
- Familiarity with enterprise identity management systems.
- Understanding of systems protocols and monitoring concepts.
- Ability to effectively communicate and align with senior management goals and decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of efficiently resolving complex technical challenges.
- Preferred experience in network troubleshooting across all OSI layers.
- Background check required upon offer.
- Drug test required upon offer.
