Position Overview: The role of a Speech Language Pathology Assistant in a school environment involves delivering structured speech therapy services to individuals across various age groups, all under the guidance of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Preferred experience in pediatric care and/or school settings.
  • Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-driven with excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Capacity to perform under pressure.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Familiarity with therapy practices as per established standards.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Prompt responsiveness to inquiries.
  • Possession of reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current auto liability insurance.

Educational Requirements:

  • A Master's degree or higher in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited institution.
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in good standing.
  • Active State License to practice Speech Therapy in the relevant state.
