Job Description

Ryder is seeking a skilled Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. As a solo driver, you will be responsible for hauling freight across the country, with a focus on delivering high-quality service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as Ryder's safety policies and procedures
  • Loading and unloading freight, as well as assisting with the loading and unloading of freight as needed
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs, including hours of service, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
  • Class A CDL with endorsements for the position
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions, as well as read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

  • Competitive pay, with a starting rate of $2100 or more per week
  • 50+ hours of work per week, with a schedule of Monday to Friday
  • Start time: 2 AM - 8 AM dispatch
  • Per diem: $55 per day
