BridgePoint Associates is seeking a dedicated Major Gifts Officer (MGO) to join our esteemed fundraising team. The MGO will play a crucial role in managing a diverse portfolio of donors and prospects across Florida. This position is responsible for identifying, nurturing, and soliciting contributions from individuals capable of making significant donations of $25,000 or more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expand and manage a portfolio of current and prospective major gift donors.
- Maintain a balanced portfolio to facilitate effective moves management.
- Utilize Salesforce to track donor interactions and develop strategic communications.
- Design and implement cultivation strategies for potential donors.
- Guide potential donors towards making contributions in a timely manner.
- Conduct research to identify prospective donors and leverage existing networks.
- Provide fundraising projections and forecasts for the portfolio.
- Travel as necessary to engage with prospects and donors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising.
- Proven track record of successfully securing gifts independently.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar donor management systems.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage travel requirements.
