Job Summary

Adelante Development Center is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Retail Skills Trainer I. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the daily operation of our thrift store, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the thrift store, including customer relations, inventory management, and sales.
  • Provide training and support to clients with disabilities, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Assist with coordinating sales events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Process donations, manage inventory, and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with the management team to achieve sales goals and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Post-secondary education in business, retail, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum one year of work experience in retail, customer service, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks as required.
  • Valid NM driver's license and reliable transportation required.
