About the Role

As a key member of the Apria team, the Delivery Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of medical equipment and supplies to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and Organize Deliveries: Plan and coordinate daily delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of equipment and supplies.
  • Supervise Delivery Employees: Lead and train a team of delivery employees to ensure they are meeting company standards and providing excellent customer service.
  • Manage Customer Interactions: Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to delivery or equipment.
  • Monitor and Maintain Records: Accurately record and maintain delivery schedules, customer interactions, and other relevant data.
  • Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure seamless delivery of equipment and supplies.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; at least 5 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a delivery or logistics environment.
  • Commercial Driver's License: Possess a valid commercial driver's license with hazardous materials, cargo tank, and air brake endorsements.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Office, and MS Project, with experience using computerized delivery systems.
Work Environment

The Delivery Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with customers, delivery employees, and other departments to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of equipment and supplies. The role requires frequent travel, including overnight stays, and may involve working in a variety of weather conditions.

Physical Demands

The Delivery Supervisor will be required to:

  • Regularly use hands to write, use a computer, operate a motor vehicle, and use a document imaging system.
  • Regularly read documents and write neatly, legibly, and transcribe accurate information and numbers/values.
  • Continually engage in activities that require talking and hearing.
  • Frequently stand, walk, sit, kneel, reach, or stoop.
  • Occasionally climb ladders up to 10' high.
